This video doesn't really need a story behind it. But I will give a brief overview non the less.
In short, I'm a nature freak. I love the outdoors. The grass, the sand, the trees and the animals. Many times while I'm hunting, I get caught up the sheer beauty of Mother Nature herself. I take pictures of just about everything I see when i'm adventuring out and I also video everything also. So this is just a short compilation of my HPA adventures. These scenes and pictures range from Oklahoma to Texas to California to Alaska.

This is part 2 of my 3 air gun ground squirrel hunt. In it, I use my Logun Solo 20 caliber which has no been sold (regretfully), my Theoben Rapid 25 and my TalonDor 257 air guns. These are all clips that I've tried to string together to make it into some sort of watchable feature. Here is a little background info on each gun as filmed in the video.
LOGUN SOLO .20:
This gun was bought in 22 caliber and was later switched over to 20 caliber vua a Lothar Walther barrel. Boy did I make a great choice in not only the gun but the caliber conversion. In the video, I purposely kept ranges at 70-75 yards as I wanted to test and stretch the legs of the 20 cal pellet. I used JSB 13.7 gr domed pellets exclusively in this video as their pure soft lead wrecks havoc on small game and they are hole in hole accurate to boot. Velocity is kept at around 880-890 fps for tack driving accuracy and consistency for 23-24 ft lbs. In the video below, you will see that the gun is so accurate, head shots at 70-75 yards are the norm, even in 12 mph-15 mph winds.
TYPICAL LOGUN SOLO 20 CAL GROUPS:
THEOBEN RAPID .25:
During the video, I shot 25.4 gr JSB Kings exclusively at 940 FPS for 50 ft lbs. The gun stays at the same FPS and never changes. The Rapid has a 20.5" barrel with a 500cc bottle that is filled to 3200 psi. It is a tack driver at this power level and never lets me down. It also stays sighted in for 50 yards and with a mildot scope, 75 and 100 yard shots are easy. Many of the squirrels taken in this video with this gun were at the 45-50 yard range with the longest being 61 yards. For this video, I used for my 1st time ever, a scope cam with a mount from OLD FLORIDA OUTDOORS scope mount. The mount itself works flawlessly but takes time to properly setup which is to be expected. All in all, the combo of camera, scope mount and gun proved to be extremely dangerous to the ground squirrel population.
TALONDOR 257:
During the video, I exclusively used the LYMAN 257420 70.5 gr bullet in it Hollow Point configuration slugging along at 1010 fps from a 3200 psi fill. That bullet has a BC of .129 This bullet/gun combo proves itself "EXTREMELY" dangerous and consistent on every outing. It is as reliable as my Rapid 25 and that's one of the most AMAZING points about the gun. Its well made and consistent.....PERIOD! My longest shot of the day was a nice 126 yards long with the average being roughly 58 yards. This gun is built for long range work and 50-60 yards are actually "GIVE ME's". With the 126 yards shot, the wind was blowing left to right at about 12-15 mph. I used a 1/4 to 1/2 mildot hold left with a 2 mildot hold over at the shoulder blade. This hold proved to be EXACTLY spot on and rewarded my ears and eye with not only a loud THWOCK but a nice dust cloud flying off the squirrel. Upon inspection of the ground squirrel, there was tons of blood in the are were he fell as well as a gaping hole left in the off shoulder blade (exit side) of the squirrel. The gun is so powerful and accurate, my longest game shot was a headshot on a jack rabbit at 186 yards and then a soda can at 446 yards!
